from the trenches…

May 3rd, 2007 by Michael Bachers

if you’ve played with launching tutorial sessions from the site you’ve probably noticed it’s not quite perfect yet. we’re actively working to remedy the issues you’ve encountered so far, so when you see the ’site is down for maintenance’ message, chances are we’re putting up our latest changes.

as things stabilize on the tech side we’ll be making major improvements and adding some very cool new features to make online teaching (and learning) a highly intuitive, streamlined experience, so keep the feedback coming and help us make the most of this alpha phase!

I think that the online tutors should be listed first when searching

I would like to list educational experience, such as years teaching or tutoring in addition to academic credentials.

Also, is there a rough guideline for where posts should be placed? Or is this post proper?

  3. Robert Sarkozi Says:

I agree with the first poster it would be extremely helpful to both students and tutors if the number tutors in each category were listed instead of just the number of tutors online.

I agree that it would be helpful if tutors on-line were listed first. How about if we listed the time and days that we would be on-line in the tutor information? Example- I will be on-line between 6 and 8 on Tuesday and Thursday during the month of May. What do you think?
