I like the one in the upper right corner.
Can’t wait to try out ziizoo.com!
April 9th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
I like the last one the best
April 9th, 2007 at 12:27 pm
I vote for either of the ones on the right (top or bottom).
But I favorite is the one on the bottom right.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
The first logo is my choice.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:30 pm
Lower left
April 9th, 2007 at 12:30 pm
Hello! My vote is for the logo with the two orange “i”s. While I really like the idea of the one with the two caption boxes, it just doesn’t quite gel as a logo for me. In the logo I’ve chosen, the two i’s look a bit like people, and that conveys the same message as the caption box logo–the student and the tutor in an exchange. Looking forward to getting started!
April 9th, 2007 at 12:31 pm
ok, not a great selection…
(1,2) I assume those are chat balloons, but they are empty and distracting
(4) the box logo pushes the already odd zizoo name to far
(3) The double ii has some impact, and conveys a 1-on-1 situation, breaks up the odd name and makes it more memorable… “i” is already a little stale in the social networking name-game but…
April 9th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
My two favorites are the first one on the first row and the last one on the second row. The first one on the second row is too similar to the Nintendo wii logo.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
I like the lower right side one the best.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:35 pm
I like the lower left best. Clean, simple, scannable.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
I like the last one too. What is the significance of the double ii? I’m pronouncing this zizoo (short i) in my head. If the company name were zizoo I would like the bottom left design–emphasis (orange color) on the “i” as in like individual tutor attention.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:37 pm
I think the left on top and the right on the bottom are the best.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:38 pm
I like the first one - upper left
April 9th, 2007 at 12:39 pm
Any logo, regardless of what it may be, should reflect/indicate in some way the purpose of the organization.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:40 pm
I like the top right a lot, but I too am unsure if it is logo material exactly. Not sure why exactly, but it isn’t quite as cohesive as some of the others. I think the bottom left is the best bet, simple and attractive. The bottom right seems a bit over-done. Yes…bottom left gets my vote.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:49 pm
Like C or D.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:54 pm
I like c best. The rest are distracting.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
I’m also voting for the lower left. The last one I also like but, as someone else said, it pushes the odd name too far for a logo. The lower left is clean, simple, and easy to remember.
April 9th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
C, definitely. Go Ziizoo!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 1:04 pm
“B” gets my vote!
April 9th, 2007 at 1:07 pm
I personally like A or C.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:08 pm
C looks best to me.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:10 pm
“A”
April 9th, 2007 at 1:11 pm
I’ve gotta go with B, but C is probably a more practical choice.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
I like the second one (B)…..What i understood from the picture is the communication between Teacher and Student which is represented by the chat sign. I guess it is the best and suitable one for the website because it states its purpose. The third one (C) also gives the same message (one on one) but it is as stated in one of the comment above looks very similar to the Wii.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:19 pm
I’m seeing the caption boxes as somewhat superfluous, so I’m leaning towards the simplicity of C, bottom left, even though I also see D on the bottom right as having perhaps more presence.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:21 pm
I like the bottom right logo best!
April 9th, 2007 at 1:23 pm
I vote for C.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:35 pm
None of the above. Wish you’d asked me before you started designing. It says something that I had to look up the purpose of your site; none of these logos was able to make the connection to my memory.
D is worst, evoking surplus electronics parts; A nearly as bad, suggesting some sort of broadcast or advertising function. C is cute but insufficiently graphic — logos that only make sense in color are not good choices. Worse, it shows two individuals of equal status — utopian but not realistic. We charge money for tutoring because we say and do what our students often do not. C says social networking, not tutoring.
B is the best of a bad bunch; it suggests two individuals speaking and one can infer unequal status. However, it still fails to communicate and looks sloppy and overly busy.
Tutoring lacks a large, ingrained visual symbol bank, like that of schoolteaching. Two individuals of unequal status are involved and perhaps a book. More than two individuals would blur the distinction.
Suggest you dump current effort to build a logo around the letters of “ziizoo”. That sort of thing rarely works anyway; it results in the sterility of utility company and bank logos — Futura Extra Bold with one letter distorted; how creative.
Better to forget the company name awhile and design a symbolic logo that *speaks* your mission. Then, fold the name and logo together.
I have a rough idea in mind as I speak — ideas are cheap — but I won’t take it any further if you’re committed to one of the four examples shown.
Good luck.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
I liked D.
Thanks.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
I like the C the best. In my opinion it appears to the most professional, streamlined, and modern logo.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
I think C is the best choice. Simple, strong, no clutter. These are things that make a logo memorable.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:45 pm
I like C the best. Simple and clean.
April 9th, 2007 at 1:53 pm
I like A . It is the best one . Funny and cool!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 2:04 pm
C looks nice.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:07 pm
I like D—it looks like exclamation points!
April 9th, 2007 at 2:08 pm
I vote for C - bottom right. The simplicity makes it striking….
April 9th, 2007 at 2:24 pm
From a design POV, option C is the only way to go. The other three are too complicated and won’t look good when they’re small.
I also like the ii in orange. Like two folks talking!
April 9th, 2007 at 2:29 pm
My three children and I agree that it has to be C.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:29 pm
I like the one in the upper right, B.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:30 pm
I like the second one and if “I’s ” in it were orange too like the third one that would have been even better
April 9th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
I would agree with Robina. Option C is the best, simple and to the point.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
I like C. It’s not confusing.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Definitely D … Timeless design
April 9th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
D might be better if it followed C’s format- all the letters one color except for the two i’s in the opposing color.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:34 pm
I like C best. It’s not complicated or confusing. D might be better if it followed C’s format- all the letters one color except for the two i’s in the opposing color.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:37 pm
I like option C. It’s simple and to the point!
April 9th, 2007 at 2:47 pm
C is definitely the best.
April 9th, 2007 at 2:48 pm
I like the lower left logo.
Kathy Hardie-Williams
April 9th, 2007 at 2:53 pm
Hi, I like C and D, but if I had to pick one I would go with C.
April 9th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
I like C and B
April 9th, 2007 at 3:07 pm
“D”
April 9th, 2007 at 3:14 pm
Ok.”C” sounds the best for me.
April 9th, 2007 at 3:25 pm
Hi there…
I agree with what Xiong wrote above. I am not a graphic designer, but none of the logos you have chosen signify what your company actually does. I think you need to focus less on the name and more on a symbol.
If I had to choose I would say C, but again not a huge fan. I think you should take Xiong’s advise and try something differennt.
Best of Luck!
April 9th, 2007 at 3:33 pm
Go with either the upper or lower right
April 9th, 2007 at 3:38 pm
Of the four, I prefer “C.” It is clean, simple memorable. However, would you clarify (for the bloggers) what the name ziizoo means, how it came about and describe how it is pronounced? That would be ever so helpful. Could your 2 i’s become pencils-perhaps?
One comment suggested a symbol of some sort to connect your logo with your focus.
April 9th, 2007 at 3:52 pm
I think I have to go with C. I like B but I do think it takes a minute to figure out the caption bubbles. I don’t think C is overly utopian — I like the two i’s as figures speaking. The drawback, perhaps, of this simple design is that it brings many other logos to mind…. it isn’t overly unique.
Best to you!
April 9th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
I prefer C from the four offered. The balloons in A and B clutter the look, in my opinion and D emphasizes the zoo, to my eyes, though I also like it better than A and B.
April 9th, 2007 at 3:59 pm
C is the best choice- clean, simple, fun- no contest!
April 9th, 2007 at 3:59 pm
I’m no marketing expert, but I like C for it’s understatedness. Everything else is too busy, to my eye.
April 9th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
Sorry, guys, none of ‘em really “does it” for me…
April 9th, 2007 at 4:40 pm
I like C because it is sweet and simple, yet it draws my attention with the double ii in the orange.
April 9th, 2007 at 5:00 pm
Put me down for C, too. The speech bubbles don’t look like speech bubbles, really. And D’s emphasis on ZOO seems to tell you that this must be a zoo company. Petting Zoo? Zoo maintainence? Animals for sale?
What, tutoring? What the heck does that have to do with zoos?
April 9th, 2007 at 5:16 pm
I like C. Can’t wait to start working!
April 9th, 2007 at 5:33 pm
can’t wait till launch day!!!!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 5:33 pm
can’t wait till launch day!!!!!!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 5:34 pm
Voted for D
April 9th, 2007 at 5:35 pm
i like logo c too because it’s simple. the first two look like social networking sites. the last one looks like the logo for the bronx zoo…
April 9th, 2007 at 5:37 pm
I like “C.” As someone else mentioned, it looks the most professional of the four.
April 9th, 2007 at 5:55 pm
I liked option C the best!
April 9th, 2007 at 6:16 pm
If I had to select one it would have to be “C”. However, it does not reveal nor relay any connection to the intention (mission) of the company. I really feel you need to go back to the brainstorming drawing board and define what it is you want to portray to prospective clients/students. It’s got to be fun,yet simple while appealing to a variety of genres. You should post how the name was derived and perhaps have endless and valuable suggestion and ideas from us, your supporters!!
April 9th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
I prefer option c because it does not not beg the question of “what to click on”. It is clear and to the point.
April 9th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
I don’t particularly care for any of these. D is definitely the worst, C the best. However, not convinced that any of these really communicate what, exactly, ziizoo does.
April 9th, 2007 at 7:10 pm
I agree that these don’t exactly convey what the service is, but my favorite choice is C
April 9th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
i am so excited about the launch — can’t wait –
i like the red square the best — classy and vibrant!!
look forward to participating in a web service whose time has certainly come!!
Mary
April 9th, 2007 at 7:27 pm
I like choice “C” for the logo because of what has been previously stated about conveying a message of 1 on 1 interaction.
April 9th, 2007 at 7:40 pm
“C” is my favorite; however, it is a vague logo (I would have thought it would have something to do with zoos or cars). I would add something that is sybolic with education (ex. a graduation cap).
April 9th, 2007 at 7:49 pm
I really like the lower left logo. The doubt “i” look like 2 people conversing, and conveys the true goal of Ziizoo. Go for it!
April 9th, 2007 at 8:03 pm
I like b or c because it conveys to people not just one like a
April 9th, 2007 at 8:34 pm
I like option B. The two speech bubbles imply dialogue, which is what teaching is.
April 9th, 2007 at 8:37 pm
“B” looks like a new web-company logo;
“C” looks like it belongs on a shiny downtown building or a quirky car;
“D” looks like it came on an obscure computer;
“A” looks like it is from a logo selection poll for a startup.
April 9th, 2007 at 8:38 pm
I vote for C.
April 9th, 2007 at 8:45 pm
I like the dialog symbols in options a and b, but I really don’t like the designs because they’re really not reflective of teaching.
April 9th, 2007 at 8:58 pm
I like the one in the upper right hand corner. It’s got pizazz…and that’s a great thing to have
April 9th, 2007 at 9:22 pm
I prefer “B”. I like the explosions occuring above the name. It looks like ideas and thoughts are bursting out! This is what learning is….it is igniting thought and passion about new ideas and the world.
The two explosions to me, represent the exchange of ideas (and learning) expressed between the tutor and student.
April 9th, 2007 at 10:04 pm
I like the one in the top left hand corner- the first logo. It reads the easiest and has the most sythesis with the mission of the company so I vote for that one!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 10:33 pm
i like the one on the bottom left because it’s simple, clean, and related. the top ones are visually fun but not quite user friendly. plus it gets a little too abstract for a professional logo. i don’t really like the square. it looks like many logos i’ve seen that don’t last long. i think it might even be bad design karma. lower left. the two people as ii. you might want to play with fonts more, but i like the idea, and it still works with that font.
April 10th, 2007 at 12:24 am
A and C are too reminiscent of the Wii logo to me. I also don’t asthetically like the two dots sticking out above the rest of the logo.
D makes me think of binary numbers, which would work if this were geared specifically to technical/mathematical tutoring.
B seems to convey a conversation and I like it best, but I feel that the talk bubbles should be the same size.
April 10th, 2007 at 2:54 am
Letter D is the best among the rest.
April 10th, 2007 at 4:38 am
well I guess I agree with the majority… lower right or D is prefered by me as well
April 10th, 2007 at 5:06 am
Option C. It looks great!
April 10th, 2007 at 7:18 am
C is the least confusing. D is great for a zoo-not a tutoring service.
April 10th, 2007 at 7:21 am
I prefer C. The others does not suit my taste ..
April 10th, 2007 at 7:28 am
I almost agree with the comments of Xiong. However option C is the best of the four options. It reminds me of the “IT” tv commercials when they first appeared. I immediately was curious as to what on earth “IT” was.
April 10th, 2007 at 8:30 am
I like B or C. The use of blog boxes creates a connection between tutor and student.
Using C means simplicity but connection as well. However, I would like to see the two ‘ii’ animated to catch attention or at least flip them or some other way to bring attention to the visual learner.
April 10th, 2007 at 8:33 am
Message for the founders:
Thank you so much for your input so far - it is really fantastic. We noticed that a lot of people have been asking how we derived the name ziizoo. It is a play on a Dutch phrase “zie zo”, which roughly translates into “all done”. Like the end of a task, you would say “zie zo”. So at the end of a hard homework problem a student could say “ziizoo” in a moment of relief or joy!
Thank you again for the comments and keep them coming!
Robert & Egon
April 10th, 2007 at 10:20 am
I like C. In the future it would be better not to show them so close together.
It makes it hard to see them alone and as a logo.
C is great!
April 10th, 2007 at 10:28 am
I really like the idea of B but C is a better choice. To avoid B&W printing confusion you could make all the letters capitol except for the ii that are the people talking. Possibly make one I in BOLD. ZiiZOO
April 10th, 2007 at 10:50 am
Logo C has my vote. Logo A and B send an ambiguous message. Logo D breaks up the name and looks somewhat like a binary code–which is an ambiguous message as well. Logo C is clear, professional, and as the other messages note the two highlighted “I”s resemble two people in a partnership which is a good message for tutoring. It is professional and not “cartoony.”

Hi Robert and Egon,
My husband is a graphic designer and he said he likes the logo “C” best
because it looks like the two “i’s” are talking to one another. His
second choice was “D.”
I look forward to your updates.

The response has been overwhelming! Thank you all for your feedback and comments … Robert and I find it very exciting to work on something that is valued by the tutor community! My personal favorites are B and D.
Thank you for your continuing support

April 10th, 2007 at 1:03 pm
I believe the most visually apealling logo is the one in the lower left hand corner, C.
April 10th, 2007 at 4:39 pm
[C] is my top choice.
I’d like to know: What is the correct phonetic pronunciation of ‘ziizoo’ ?
April 11th, 2007 at 12:20 am
I like D. Orange is a nice strong color. However, I can understand why some might object to the hint of “a zoo” in the logo.
If that is a concern, C is a good choice for its simplicity and straightforward approach.
(As for A and B, I do not like the blobs of speech bubbles.)
April 11th, 2007 at 7:48 am
Definately C!!!!
April 11th, 2007 at 7:49 am
Definately C!!!!
I don’t really like the blobs of speech bubbles either.
April 11th, 2007 at 8:05 am
From an email sent to us…
I like C or D.
April 11th, 2007 at 8:06 am
From an email sent to us…
(C.) Looks clean and simple and using two colors catches attention.
April 11th, 2007 at 9:39 am
D. Definetly. without a doubt. Senza dubito. Fawgetaboutit. Whaddya, kiddin’ me? Psshaw. Know what I’m sayin’? Don’t make me get physical here. “D” for done.
April 11th, 2007 at 9:42 am
I prefer C at the moment. A and B are too obscure. D would be my favorite if the i’s and o’s didn’t look like 1’s and 0’s.
I think a simple change on D, dotting the i’s and rounding the o’s would make a dramatic logo.
April 11th, 2007 at 12:42 pm
I like A.
April 11th, 2007 at 2:17 pm
Go “ZIIZOO”
April 12th, 2007 at 10:55 am
I like the one in the lower left corner
April 12th, 2007 at 11:20 am
I like A! It’s very sharp. Spot on.
April 12th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
From an email sent to us…
I personally like the third logo (with the 2 “i”’s orange) because it’s clarity and simplicity.
April 12th, 2007 at 12:44 pm
I endorse Xiong’s comments. The logo’s don’t seem to promote your business even by helping people remember what your company is about.
April 12th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
I think C is best!
April 12th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
I like C best. It captures the idea of one-on-one tutoring without adding a gimmick to the logo. A gimmick is a distraction from the name.
April 12th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
I like “C” the best, but perhaps put a bar over the “ii”s to indicate that it’s a long vowel. If it’s a short vowel, then put the curved symbol above. I agree that the two dotted “ii” are similar to a Wii, but the design is simple and less confusing than the others.
Great choice of colors.
Can’t wait for the launch!
April 12th, 2007 at 7:41 pm
I prefer “D.” It seems more professional to me. The others look improvised, chaotic.
April 12th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
I like B the best to me symbolizes communication via the website itself.
April 12th, 2007 at 9:07 pm
C is the sharpest.
April 12th, 2007 at 10:53 pm
C is the cleanest.
April 12th, 2007 at 11:48 pm
I like ‘D’ the best.
The others look a little sketchy to me.
Excited about the new tutoring opportunity!
April 13th, 2007 at 12:03 am
Hello. I like letter C. It looks like two people, (tutor and student), meeting and working together. Looks Great, Can’t Wait!!
April 13th, 2007 at 12:34 pm
C is my first choice, but D is also good.
April 13th, 2007 at 12:49 pm
Hello. I would definitely say C out of those choices. It would be simpler,
clearer and, therefore, more immediately recognized.
Vaughn Egge
April 13th, 2007 at 12:51 pm
D is my choice.
April 13th, 2007 at 4:39 pm
I like C the best.
April 13th, 2007 at 8:36 pm
I like C the best. The others just look complicated. That one gets right to the point.
April 14th, 2007 at 2:23 am
I like C
April 14th, 2007 at 11:57 am
Yes to C.
April 14th, 2007 at 5:15 pm
I like the one on the bottom right. I like its clarity.
April 15th, 2007 at 10:48 am
I like D (bottom right) the best. It is clean and clear and to the point and memorable.
April 15th, 2007 at 1:22 pm
I like the logo in the lower lefthand corner.
April 15th, 2007 at 3:30 pm
The last one seems to be the most simple of the four. It should be the logo.
April 15th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
I think B is the best. It makes me think of the communication between the tutor and the student. Can’t wait for the launch.
April 15th, 2007 at 5:32 pm
I like C and D because of the simplicity of design. My initial reaction favored logo D.
April 16th, 2007 at 8:49 am
The top two are confusing and structurally off. Bottom left looks like it “borrowed” an idea from Nintendo Wii… bottom left is ok. Are these the only options? I think keep working…
April 16th, 2007 at 8:50 am
Number C the best. D is kinda boxed in, you have to let it flow free. A & B I don’t like the symbols around.
April 16th, 2007 at 8:58 am
I like the one on the bottom left. The top two are too cluttered for my tastes, and the one on the top right it is hard to tell that it is supposed to represent a “conversation bubble.” The one on the bottom left doesn’t make it clear that it is all supposed to be one word.
April 16th, 2007 at 9:00 am
What does “ZIIZOO” mean?
April 16th, 2007 at 9:08 am
Version B symbolize the same idea as C, but C is more significant. C force
our imagination to looking for more options…C is the best.
April 16th, 2007 at 10:33 am
#1 choice: Lower left; simple, but elegant
#2 choice: Lower right- but the word “Zoo” seems to pop out of that one
April 16th, 2007 at 10:43 am
i like letter C. clean and clear.
April 16th, 2007 at 10:45 am
I like D. It’s cute and catchy.
The code of conduct looks good. You don’t want to make it too complicated.
April 16th, 2007 at 12:12 pm
I agree with xiong. All of these designs are wihout any “meaning”. The logo should not be focussed on the name. Who cares about the name. The clients want some good help.
If you insist upon chosing one of the four, “C” is the best of a bad lot.
April 16th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
The code of conduct seems simple, direct, and to the point. Maybe the vetting should be a little more complete to protect the reputation of all concerned. A real market for this service is China. They seemingly go for the label. Best to endure that label is valid with something a little more secure than a code of conduct. I would not want my child online with someone who had not been vetted for credentials of education or prior convictions of any sort.

I vote for C!
April 16th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
I like the last one…..clean and clear!
April 16th, 2007 at 1:45 pm
I vote for C, it is simple, attractive, I also like the double-i emphasis, it evokes “seeing” “looking” “learning” as well as the idea of 2 individuals working together, which is wonderful (and as a tutor myself, this is how I feel it is - I have more education that my students, more years spent thinking of math and physics, but as far as intelligence, perseverance, creativity, vision, the building blocks of any human endeavor, my students and I are matched evenly when averaging over all attributes. I think the double-i, in a very subtle way, conveys a bit of that feeling.
Also, I agree with Eric’s comment, that I would have reservations about allowing my children having online relationships (i.e. tutor/tutee) with people who have not been thoroughly checked out by the learning company. This means verification of education as well as passing background checks.

I think logos A and C are the best. A connotes an idea-driven company, which has a very good association with a tutoring website. It is simple and artistically pleasing. Logo C is also effective because it is to the point, easy to read, and simple - all qualities that a tutoring website should resemble. Logo D distorts the name a bit.
Thanks.

I think that the logo should indicate what the business does. None of these give me an idea what the company does. You might want to reconsider these.
April 16th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
Option C is my pick. A and B are too cluttered and C is not instantly readable.
April 16th, 2007 at 7:58 pm
I like C because it is clear and visually more memorable.
April 16th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
Well, after saying a week ago that I prefer B (with equally sized talk bubbles), I still can’t get the image of D out of my head. Granted, I am a technically oriented person and that may be my bias.

C
April 17th, 2007 at 6:43 am
I like D
April 17th, 2007 at 1:49 pm
I think any on the bottom roll looks fine because they bring a feel of professionalism to the site. It’s going to take some work to make the site credible due to the fraud-prone tendency of internet pay sites that may ward off potential students.
April 17th, 2007 at 10:23 pm
I really like logo “C”. I find the orange text blobs in “A” and “B” do not ad anything to ziizoo’s purpose. This will be a web site for learning but not a web site for endless socializing.
April 18th, 2007 at 5:08 am
The lower right one looks the best and impressive.
April 18th, 2007 at 6:47 am
These logos have no visual graphic impact of any sort. As a visual artist myself, I do not approve any of them. May be you should hire an artist launch a logo design competition, so that a stong logo comes about. After all, a logo is ever in most cases.

PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE ABOVE CORRECTED AS FOLLOWING:
These logos have no graphic impact. As a visual artist myself, I do not approve any of them. May be you should hire an artist to design one or launch a logo design competition, so that a stong logo comes about. After all, a logo is forever and you don’t want to be stuck with a weak one.

I prefer option C, for it is direct and uncomplicated and more memorable, in my opinion. Psychology Today shows that males such as I much prefer the simple and tune out more abstract symbols that advertise anything, whereas females can readily absorb the plain to the abstract.
April 19th, 2007 at 5:38 am
I like C, it’s more direct and professional without being stuffy.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:39 pm
First I want to thank you for this opportunity to be a part of your business and give my opinion about your logo.
I must say that I agree with Xiong. Before I read those comments, I was not in favor of any of the four logos. None of them really appealled to me or convey a clear message about your purpose.
Here is my conclusion: If I had to choose one, it would be “C”. C is simple.
I think a real life picture of a tutor and a student and the name ziizoo as it looks with “C” some where with a catchy phrase could possibly be appealing to the eyes and emotions. I believe the logo must grip. If it does not, it must at least tell the point. Since this is a new business it should market psychologically just by looking at a picture or a word.
This is just an idea that I’m throwing in the air. I believe the ultimate final vision will come from you.

I like D, it is a very memorable logo which would attract more people to show that it is not only a professional site but it is fun too. The large amount of a bright color such as orange draws the eye to it while accenting it with the opposite colors of black and white balances out the chaos of color changes and creates a larger interest.

What…dutch puns? are you not expecting too much language capability of your target market? As you see above, there are many more associations with Zoologic and Wii…and I will venture that not a single client will make the intended connection with the Dutch meaning…so why use it? You still have time to scrap the name and logo and start over, you already have a base of tutors ready to help you and you haven’t launched with a weak corporate image yet…

I believe logo C to be the best one presented. Logo C truly conveys the one-to-one tutoring connection promised by your company. The other logos are quite distracting and too familiar looking.
April 24th, 2007 at 7:33 am
Hello guys
I like C, is simple, crisp, modern.
Thanks,
Hector
April 25th, 2007 at 9:13 am
I like C.
April 30th, 2007 at 10:12 pm
Definitely C. The chat balloons seem to be trying to convey something, but it’s not clear what. C is simple but not too simple.
April 30th, 2007 at 11:03 pm
C, for sure. They’re all pretty good, though.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:01 am
C or D. It took a bit to figure out what the shapes over A and B were! Too distracting! I like the look of C but do agree with the comments on it looking like the game logo. Perhaps play some with the font on D?
May 1st, 2007 at 9:50 am
I really like the D one.
but they are all pretty good though!
May 2nd, 2007 at 10:03 am
C. Hands down. I think its important to highlight the fact that you have 2 i’s in ziizoo. Giving them their own color does that, and keeps the logo simple. I think D is nice, but its hard to tell that the i’s are letters… A and B I think are distracting - I want the text bubbles to say something, so I focus on them instead of the name.
May 2nd, 2007 at 10:05 am
plus, the lower-case i’s in ‘C’ make the logo less intimidating, friendlier.
May 18th, 2007 at 3:51 pm
C is the best one. Don’t like the dialog balloons, what are they for? D is too busy, I think. C uses color to highlight the i’s and it’s simple and easy to remember. We’ve got something special, we don’t need to overdo it!
May 30th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
I prefer the last one. My only concern is how does a new tutor, student or client know how to pronounce your web name. I have been calling it -
ZI (long I) Zoo (like the animal Zoo). Is this correct? Make sure your emphasis makes the pronunciation clear.
June 18th, 2007 at 10:24 am
C. Lower-left. I like it that the “i”s appear to be two people. Maybe add some sort of “left arrow”/”right arrow” between them to highlight the “information sharing” theme?
